P.12.A.3 - Students know identifiable properties can be used to separate mixtures. Able to identify the difference between heterogeneous and homogeneousmixtures and compounds. Able to design separation processes based on physical properties such as magnetism, solubility, density and boiling point that lend themselves to mechanical sorting.
